Bassett Community Center, Inc. has been serving families with positive and affordable recreational activities for over 40 years!
Before/after school care, summer day camp, meeting rooms, parties, family reunions, swimming, fitness facilities, youth and adult sports leagues are just some of the opportunities available for anyone in our community. Admission is by daily fee or by annual membership. For more information call 276-629-5225.
MISSION: To provide affordable recreational facilities for all people... combating conditions which place children and youth at risk by providing a program of recreation, education, health and fitness designed to inspire higher moral standards of conduct wherein they may develop strong bodies, keen minds, and a spirit of appropriate social behavior.
BCC is a 501c3 non-profit organization dependent upon low service fees, fundraising, grant support, and donations to sustain its facility and programming. MHC After 3 Winter/Spring Program begins January, 2008. This program focuses on after-school activities for middle School-aged kids. In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club, the local YMCA's , and the Virginia Museum of Natural History, BCC is offering a 5 day a Week program utilizing Athletic Programs , LEGOS , aSM Art & Math , College preparation , and Geofitness programming, Center for Arts and Crafts, etc .

Program Runs from 4:00-6:00pm Monday-Friday. Special events may be held on nights or weekends. FC Middle school bus runs to the Bassett Community Center. For Grades 6-8.

HCI Family Aerobics continue at BCC. Sponsorship by the coalition for health and wellness which allows bCC to offer this program FREE OF CHARGE !!!!

Bassett community center will participate in this years annual Bassett heritage festival. We will have a booth promoting BCC and all it has to offer. Seeking donations of crafts, cakes, & pies to sell at this event . Volunteers needed !!!
